PostSubject: High Stakes Results   Sun Jan 02, 2011 5:28 pm

High Stakes from the Hammerstein Ballroom, Manhattan, New York

Singles Match
Chris Williams vs Howard Shaw

"Ice Cold" comes out throwing wild punches to the fans delight, clearly pissed at Shaw for costing him an Ultraviolent Championship shot the previous week. Shaw takes the punishment well, kicking out of Williams' early pinfall attempts. He gains control by catching Williams in mid-air after an attempted diving crossbody. Shaw then hits a sick powerslam. His dominance doesn't last long though. After building momentum with several signature moves, Shaw goes for his powerbomb finisher. Williams manages to slide out, land on his feet and then connect with a forceful Iced Out to pick up the win.

Winner: Chris Williams at 7:04

Backstage, officials are surrounding Trevor Andrews who is out cold in the corridors. Aesha arrives to check on his condition and is told by the doctor that there's no way Andrews can compete tonight. Nathan Harter, Andrews' trainer, asks Aesha what she's going to do about the Pure Championship match, offering a replacement that he had brought with him to watch the show. Aesha declines in the interest of fairness; "the champ has come prepared to face Andrews and Skyfire - plus your replacement hasn't earned the shot".

High Stakes Match
Winner gets a title shot relevant to his division, whoever gets pinned is fired
Butcha Yafi vs Cesar Pineda vs Manu Soldier

The fans are fairly split here, some cheering for Cesar Pineda and some cheering for Manu Soldier. The Juggalo gets no love though, that's for sure. The match is dominated by Pineda at first as he uses his immense experience to counter his opponent's moves and holds. Yafi and Manu launch frequent mini comebacks though. After dropping Manu with Da 187, Pineda goes for a cover but its broken up by Yafi. They exchange punches but Yafi gains the advantage. He goes for a Tilt-A-Whirl but Cesar manages to land on his feet and hit the clown with another dose of Da 187 to end the bout.

Winner: Cesar Pineda at 8:23

Post-match, an irate Butcha Yafi gets escorted out of the arena by security - he's no longer a member of CAW.

-----

Backstage in Scarlett's office, Nathan Harter asks her to overrule Aesha's decision. The CEO questions why and Harter tells her that his replacement is was an up-and-coming star in CGS and his presence could gain CAW some publicity. Scarlett laughs this off and tells Harter to leave. Nathan then ups his ante, saying that his replacement has a damn good chance of taking the Pure Championship from PsyDrag. Scarlett is interested as she has beef with the champ. She agrees to adding the replacement on the condition that this guy wins the match, otherwise he doesn't get a contract with CAW.

Tag Team Championship Gauntlet Match
Fallen Adonis & The Boss vs Josh Bailey & Shelton McNeil vs N.M.E. (Alyster Black & Steve Storme) vs The Bloodhounds (Eric Logan & Horatio Gates) vs ???

The match starts off with The Bloodhounds and the team of Josh Bailey and Shelton McNeil. The crowd isn't keen on either when they enter but generally decides to back the newcomers Bailey and McNeil when Logan cuts a pre-match promo. He talks shit about Aesha and the Olympian division before declaring The Bloodhounds the next Tag Team Champions. Then he takes a boot to the face from McNeil. Despite the rookies early advantage, the experience of Logan and Gates is too much. After Gates throws Bailey to the outside, Logan nails McNeil with the Overdose for the pinfall.

Next out is N.M.E. who have the fans support entirely. Black and Storme work together tagging in and out frequently in the eary going of this mini-bout to keep Gates grounded. But when Logan distracts the ref, Gates low-blows Black to get The Bloodhounds back into control. They keep the ring divided, restricting Black to their half to ensure when he manages to counter their moves, he's still a distance from his partner. But when Gates goes for Beyond the Realms of the Departed, Black rolls out of the way and across to make the hot-tag. Storme's rush of offence is might by loud cheers and after grounding Logan with a Shining Wizard, N.M.E. locks in the Double Negative on Gates to eliminate The Bloodhounds.

Fallen Adonis and The Boss are soon racing down the ramp to a mixed crowd response. Adonis takes the lead with his rough brawler style and gains a near-fall with a snap DDT. The Boss takes over and uses some mild aerial offence on "The Black Cloud". Being a copycat wrestler, The Boss starts setting up Storme for his own finisher - the End of Discord - but Steve breaks out of it and tags in Black while The Boss tags in Adonis. Alyster takes down both opponents with numerous clotheslines before drilling Adonis with the Satan's Spike. It's broken up by The Boss - who then gets taken out by Storme's End of Discord. N.M.E. then hit Adonis with the Omega Device.

The final team is revealed to be... Rocky Ali and Jason Hawk. The fans remember them from their brief failed run in CGS and jeer as Hawk locks up with Storme. The mask-clad star easily overpowers him and after a short beatdown, locks in the Broken Wings. Ali breaks it up but this gets all four men involved. N.M.E. take control and Ali is knocked out following a Sick Kick from Black. The match comes to an end when Hawk taps to the Double Negative.

Winners: N.M.E. in 16:27

Post-match, Storme stalks Ali with a fireball ready. Like the previous week, Black starts shouting at Storme, distracting the mask-clad Wrestler of the Year. While they argue, a red-haired woman enters the ring through the crowd and SHE throws a fireball into the face of Ali as the crowd goes wild. She turns to reveal herself as Kayla. Storme and her exit up the ramp while a screaming Ali is attended to by medics. Black watches them go with a sigh.

Pure Championship Match
Psycho Dragon (c) vs Seth Skyfire vs Trevor Andrews Jacoby Jackson

The replacement comes out last... Jacoby Jackson. The fans are divided for his arrival, accompianed by a grinning Nathan Harter. Skyfire and Jacoby team up on the champ to start with. They take turns punching him in the corner and hitting their signature moves. Then upon a nod from Harter, Jacoby turns on his makeshift ally, hitting him with a spinning wheel kick. From here the bout turns into a three-way brawl with all thee showing off impressive aerial moves. The champ hits Skyfire with a Jackhammer followed by a HADOUKEN!! but PsyDrag gets a pinfall attempt broken up by Jacoby. Andrews starts running down the ramp. Harter meets him but gets dropped by a haymaker. The ref tries to deal with Andrews but meanwhile Jacoby low-blows PsyDrag and hits the Jacoby Jolt. When the ref turns back round, he counts the pinfall as officials drag Andrews away up the ramp.

Winner: Jacoby Jackson at 9:18

Backstage in a locker room, Ryan Ashburn is giving Sonichu a pep-talk. He tells the Ultraviolent Champion that Krash is a friend of N.M.E. - their major enemies - and so this is a match he MUST win. The belt can't be round the waist of those who oppose the establishment. Sonichu promises to do well for his "father", causing Ryan to roll his eyes in disgust before ordering Sonichu to the ring.

MAIN EVENT - Ultraviolent Championship Match
Krash vs Sonichu (c)

The ever-unpopular Sonichu starts off the main event badly as Krash rides the fan support. He comes at Sonichu with a variety of quick offence, including a Holy Frick. Sonichu gets back in the driving seat when the bout goes to the outside where weapons get in play. Chairshots ground the high-flying White Wolf. They return to the ring with an array of violent impliments. Krash struggles to lock in The Kill throughout the bout but Sonichu keeps wriggling out at every opportunity, knowing he's in danger. They return to the outside before long and Sonichu gets put through the Spanish announce table with an LSD from Krash. By the time Krash has rolled his opponent back into the ring, Sonichu has recovered enough to kick out. Krash goes for another LSD but Sonichu pushes him off and hits a Sky Uppercut. After Krash kicks out of Thunder, Sonichu executes the same move onto some steel steps he had thrown into the ring.

Winner: Sonichu at 18:39

Post-match, "Ice Cold" Chris Williams runs out and when Sonichu turns round with his belt, Chris takes the mutant Pokemon hedgehog down with Iced Out. He lays the Ultraviolent Championship over Sonichu and then leaves to loud cheers.

Every title I have won in my e-fed career have been by no show.

Good work Alex...this was a good PPV.

I am a bit pissed that myself and Luke [Even though he no-showed again] were eliminated so early. In all honesty I think we should of been in the final two [Or three if that spot was to occur]. But apart from this small complaint the show was solid. It was a good read and congrats to Affy

I deliberately set out to portray The Bloodhounds as the second best team due to you showing. Sure, you were eliminated second but you were also the only other team to eliminate another one. And you were beaten in the longest time by the same team that would go on to become champions. If you had been in the final two, that would either have meant you would have beaten all the other teams prior - which seems unfair on me and Zach when we both showed. Or you would have just showed up at the end to get your ass kicked, having made no pinfalls on any other teams.

Shame to see PsyDrag's reign end on a no-show but shit happens. Congrats Affy.

To everyone else that won, congratulations are in order for the lot of you. To the losers, thanks to those who showed even if they did a quickie (Krash...).

Oh and first ever CAW Tag Team Champions. There are None More Evil.

Yeah, the High Stakes shot is kinda like MITB. So PM me any time you want to use it and we'll discuss things.
